Under Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) 3 months training course has been started by Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) at Pahilpora Sofapora in Ganderbal district to impart trainings to rural women in Crewel and Namda crafts.
Secretary KVIB. Mr. R.C. Sharma said that during the camp 30 poor women of the area would be trained in Crewel and Namda crafts to enable them set up their own income generating units. He said stipend of Rs 100 would be paid to each trainee per month during training period besides raw material to the trainees by KVIB.
On the occasion, Deputy CEO, Kashmir division highlighted the achievements of the Boards registered in the division during last one year.
