Workers strike at SRF Gummidipoondi Technical Textiles Unit

SRF Ltd has informed that in one of the Units of the Company's Technical Textiles Business located at Gummidipoondi (Tamilnadu), a group of employees resorted to illegal strike on September 04, 2008.
This has since then led to the stoppage of production of tyrecord fabric in the Unit. However, this is unlikely to have any significant impact.
Building on its dominant positon in the domestic market, SRF enjoys a significant presence in the global market as well for all the three products under its Technical Textile Business tyre reinforcements, belting fabrics and coated fabrics.
