Operation of a monoethylene glycol (MEG) production line run by Honam Petrochemical in South Korea will be suspended for regular maintenance.
Sources from the company informed Fibre2fashion that “the plant has been shut down for a change of catalyst and we expect it to restart by the first week of October this year.”
The MEG production line is one of the three operated by the company at Yeosu and has a production capacity of 120,000 metric tons per year.
