Though many textile and clothing brands have been facing many problems, analysts say that most of these will record good profit in 2008.

They explain that the key reason for this is the impressive sale in China Mainland. It has been noted that Taiwanese enterprises pushed up their sales before and during the Beijing Olympics.

For instance, this year, Tony Wear brand and Emely brand of Tainan Group are expected to register 40 percent higher profit than that in 2007.

Experts say that the Group's strategy to open more and more outlets and franchise shops in China has paid off for them.

While, Tony wear brand has 700 franchise shops, Emely also boasts over 120 franchises in China mainland.

Recently, the company announced its plans to open 10 new franchise shops this year.

Insiders say that many enterprises are enlarging their investments in China, especially in retail sector.

Besides, several Taiwan clothes brands are also expanding investment in other countries like Indonesia and Cambodia.
