Duchess Utsav concludes on a triumph note

Duchess Utsav 2008, held from September 12 to 14 at the Chennai Trade Centre was a huge success as the number of participants as well as visitors had increased. The seventh edition of exhibition had a wide range of products on display that included garments, jewellery, accessories, handicraft and home décor items.
More than 70 stalls were put up at the venue for the craftsman who had come from different states like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Agra, Gujarat, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Designer sarees and salwar-kameez, traditional clothes, kids wear, paper jewellery, jute made products were a big hit and were in great demand.
One of the major attractions at the venue was 'Artisans Village', where live demonstration was done by the craftsman who weaved mats and baskets and made pottery that left the onlookers amazed.
The approaching festive season was one of the main reasons for buyers to indulge in shopping mode and make huge purchases not only for themselves but also for their home.
