In the midst of a rapidly changing world economy, environmental uncertainty, and mounting demands for sustainable practices, organic cotton is emerging as a clear choice for successful businesses around the globe. Businesses are discovering that organic cotton is both a tool for increasing the bottom line today, and a critical investment in the value chain of tomorrow.

To discuss these opportunities with global industry leaders, please join Organic Exchange at its 6th Global Conference and Marketplace October 14-17, 2008 at the Porto Palacio Congress Hotel and Spa in Porto, Portugal.

The conference will bring together approximately 300 members of the global organic cotton value chain to learn about and discuss best practices, emerging issues, and strategies to maximize the return on investment from organic cotton.

Speakers include such well known leaders as sustainable development guru John Elkington, consumer behavior expert Simonetta Cabonaro from REAL-ISE, GfK Roper Consulting's trends specialist Nick Chiarelli, and Goldsmiths College's “slow fashion” proponent and trends foreseer Dr. Kate Fletcher.

In addition, representatives from organic cotton industry leaders Adidas, Anvil Knitwear, C&A, Marks & Spencer, Nike, Nordstrom, Patagonia, Pottery Barn, REI, and others will attend, making the event one-stop-shopping for journalists interested in the burgeoning global organic cotton marketplace.
