Polyester/ Nylon Composite Filament register fall in prices

In the week gone by, the polyester and polyester filament market fell slightly in Shengze and Jiangxin markets. Prices of polyester/nylon composite filament also went down a little and trading volumes were also low.
Market prices indicated that price of filament (DT-flat led + POY) 50 +50 fell 100-200 Yuan to 13,800 Yuan per ton in Shengze and Jiangxin markets. Filament (DT-flat led + POY) 100 +100 was quoted at 12,600 Yuan per ton, down 100 Yuan. Trade volume of filament (DT-flat led + POY) 100 +50 and 100 +75 was better.
Market sources say that demand is down due to decline in operating capacities of water jet looms, the major consumer of polyester and polyester composite filament products in turn affecting the market prices.
Earlier cumulative fall of semi-dull polyester chips was higher, forming pressures on polyester/polyester composite filament market and it is expected to ease further, but within a limited space. Stock pressures of both the products with major spinning manufacturers are not significant.
