Selected Femme/Homme launched the spring/summer 09 collection at a big fashion show in Copenhagen City Hall. Attention is already on the brand naming it an upcoming star on the Danish fashion scene. After the show the reactions were clear: Selected Femme/Homme found a niche by bringing quality, design and affordable prices together.

The new romantic is the inspiration to the Selected /Femme collection presented at the show. For Selected /Femme, summer 2009 is about exploring the classical, soft, vintage inspired boudoir look and adding modern elements and details for an understated and sexy look.

“We are very pleased with the look in this collection. It succeeds the line of our first collection, featuring usable basic styles and unique designs perfect as next summer's must haves. The idea is to create a look which can be taken directly from the catwalk and used in the everyday life of women who demand an uncomplicated but strong look.” (Christina Exsteen, Head of design, Selected /Femme)

At the show Selected /Homme presented expressions from the three lines; Selected /Homme, Selected /Homme Tailored Denim and Selected /Homme Bespoke style. Selected /Homme shows a preppy style adding new life to the soft and nostalgic expression. It is a mix of sartorial vintage look and strong, remarkable colours put together in a new way.

In contrast is the rough denim line with an American chino look and a masculine vintage jeans look. This spring the bespoke line is about blending modern classics with Japanese vintage military and elements from original American work wear.

The show demonstrated the strength of a unisex brand letting the masculine and feminine expressions compliment each other. Colours, shapes and expressions were linked together throughout the show demonstrating the synergy of soft, feminine expressions and a rough, masculine look.
