The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with The South India Textile Research Association (SITRA), Textile Committee, Ministry of Textiles, Knit Cloth Manufacturers Association and Tirupur Exporters' Association is organising TECHTEX INDIA III: “Investment opportunities for Indian Technical Textiles Industry” on 30th September 2008 at TEA Hall from 9.00 a.m. to 5.40 p.m.
In the inaugural session, Shri. E.V.K.S. Elangovan, the Hon'ble Minister for State for Textiles, Government of India and Shri. K.K.S.S.R Ramachandran, Hon'ble Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Tamilnadu are participating and delivering address.
Theme: Promoting investment opportunities for Indian Technical Textile specifically in areas like Agrotech, Meditech, Buildtech, Protech & Mobiltech.
Objectives: • To create awareness about the economic value of Technical Textiles. • To create investment opportunities for entrepreneurs who wish to enter or expand into markets for higher added value textiles. • To understand the need for creating demand promotional atmosphere.
The Seminar would highlight the growth prospects of Technical Textiles in India and its applications in various industry segments. The Seminar would also focus on capabilities of Indian Technical Textiles sector to compete globally. This will enable the participants to understand and implement industry specific strategies.
Speakers from Textile Industry, user sectors, consultants, concerned Government Departments, select associations, technical experts, export promotion organisations etc. would make presentations and take part in the deliberations.
