July polyester filament production escalates

According to the statistics availed from the China Textile Association, China's production of filament amounted to 203,451 tons in July 2008, down 4,747 tons or 2.28 percent from June. However, it posted a year on year increase of 9,658 tons or 4.98 percent.
July sales stood at 193,371 tons, up 4,595 tons or 2.43 percent from June, however, the volume saw a year on year reduction of 6,150 tons or 3.08 percent.
Stocks in the month were recorded at 96,651 tons, up 9,696 tons or 11.15 percent from June, and an increase of 42,701 tons or 79.15 percent from the same time last year.
In July this year, national sales of polyester filament were mainly centralized in Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces. The inflow of the raw material in Zhejiang Province formed more than half of the country's total sales.
