From Retro Glam to Biker Chic today's styles are as diverse as they are unique. Whether you're looking to spice up your look or learn to be a stylist, don't miss the style workshops hosted by Jean Vouté Pratt founder of GiftGirl and The Style Observer at the first ever Milwaukee Fashion Week.

Beginning Friday, October 3 at the Harley-Davidson Museum, Milwaukee Fashion Week brings together top international, national and local designers, stylists and experts who will showcase the latest trends in fashion and beauty.

“This exciting event proves that fashion isn't exclusive to 5th Avenue or Rodeo Drive anymore. Fashion has reached new heights and influences each and every one of us – from city to suburb,” said Jean Vouté Pratt. “I'm thrilled to be a part of the first Milwaukee Fashion Week and look forward to contributing my ideas about style to the vibrant Milwaukee fashion community.”

Stylist, personal shopper and founder of GiftGirl, the online destination for personalized gift advice for women, Pratt also hosts The Style Observer blog where she shares helpful tips and advice for translating the latest fashions to everyday looks.

Hot on the heels of her participation at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York, Pratt will present several fabulous style workshops at Milwaukee Fashion Week:

• Saturday, October 4th
- 10:00 a.m. – Rocker/Biker Chic for the rest of us
- 11:00 a.m. – Retro Glam in the modern world

• Sunday, October 5th
- 10:00 a.m. – Making the Boho look work
- 11:00 a.m. – Updated Urban Classics

Each workshop will include a full run through of each look discussing:
• Who/When/Where the look is appropriate
• How to achieve it at various price points and with what you already have
• Examples of who wears the look well
• Question & Answer

Styled by Pratt, Ford Models will present fashions from local and national vendors sponsoring this event including Zappos, Plaza Too, Lovemadds, Shoptwigs, Kooba Bags, and Boutique B'Lou.

Milwaukee Fashion Week features a packed schedule of speakers, interactive workshops, runway shows and after-parties designed to satisfy Milwaukee's fashion-savvy residents. Tickets range in cost from $30 for most one-day passes to $170 for a four-day pass with entrance to a VIP event on Monday at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Reduced ticket pricing for student tickets is available. A portion of proceeds will benefit BucketWorks and the Hummingbird Foundation.
