New textile package in offing

While speaking to the President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Mr Khwaja Roomi, the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mr. Gilani that a new textile package was being positively considered by the government.
The Pakistan textile & garment industry which is the major export earner for the country has been going through difficult times in the last few months. Mr. Gilani said that the package would help in solving the crisis affecting the sector.
He also said that a relief in utility bills services like electricity and gas is also under consideration. This relief according to him could bring about an industrial revolution in the country.
He also emphasised on the need to improve agriculture production of vital crops like cotton to save precious foreign exchange.
