Beauty therapy sessions to be held at Glasgow Fashion Week

Glasgow Fashion Week 2008, the annual ground breaking event will be held at the Merchant City in Glasgow from the 19th of November to the 21st of November 2008.

This year's headliners include:
• Jane McMillan - nominee for Scottish Designer of the year 2007 – New York Fashion Week, Croatia Fashion Week, On/Off Show at LFW.
• Eribe – This Scottish designer's long term customers include, Paul Smith, Margaret Howell, Gieves and Hawkes. Her latest collection will be featured in Tokyo Fashion Week, next stop GFW 08. Pieces are also retailed at Le Bon Marche, Paris, SAKS on Fifth Avenue, New York and other retail outlets around the World.
• Andreas Geogiou – Designer is a permanent runway feature in the Athens Exclusive Designer Week as well as current winner of the Greek New Designer of the Year.
• Sarkany – Shoes by this exclusive designer from Latin America are won by celebrities such as Ricky Martin and Esther Canadas. His label is still one of the most well known labels in Latin America.

Glasgow Fashion Week was setup in 2005 to support the fashion industry in the United Kingdom and Scotland in particular.

Glasgow Fashion Week since its announcement to hold a major fashion week in 2007 has received rave reviews from several leaders in the fashion industry such as All Saints and Debenhams. It has also gained wide spread press and public support in and outside Scotland.

GFW is steadily establishing itself as a young, international and directional alternative to the world's more traditional fashion weeks, focusing on Glasgow's reputation as a stylish city.

Alongside our catwalk show schedule our programme includes fashion events, lectures, exhibitions, retail initiatives and parties.

As well as a showcase for Scottish and International fashion, GFW provides a stage for the growing New Luxury segment, which was initially stuck between existing mainstream trade events and traditional couture weeks. Our Moto is to promote and celebrate creativity and excellence in fashion.
