Zhejiang Dyes industry marks fairly firm sales & exports

In the first eight months of this year, dyes production of Zhejiang Province was similar to the same time of 2007, but sales and exports recorded a slight decline in growth-rate.
Dyes production completed 21,000 tons, that of intermediate marked 2792 tons, and aids output amounted to 15,000 tons.
From January to August, dyes industry in Zhejiang Province completed a total industrial output value of 13.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16 percent.
Sales totaled to 13.14 billion yuan, up 15 percent. Profits with taxes reached 1.49 billion yuan, of which profits were 1.05 billion yuan, a rise of 32 percent as compared to same period last year. Export delivery value touched 3.21 billion yuan, a growth of 34 percent.
From January to August, production of various types of dyes in Zhejiang came upto 318,000 tons, up 0.2 percent.
Cumulative sales of dyes accomplished 306,000 tons, year-on-year drop of 2 percent, and cumulative exports scored 58,000 tons, down 0.5 percent. Exports accounted for 19 percent of total sales and dyes production and marketing rate was 96 percent.
From January to August 2008, intermediates production of Zhejiang dyes industry totaled to 38,000 tons, marking a boost of 9 percent as compared to same period last year.
Cumulative sales achieved 37,000 tons, also representing a growth of 9 percent. Of these exports stood at 2061 tons, recording a climb of 6 percent, and accounting for 6 percent of total sales. Production and marketing rate of intermediate was 98 percent.
In these eight months, cumulative production of additives in Zhejiang realized 56,000 tons, up 1810 percent. Cumulative sales were 56,000 tons and production and marketing rate was 100 percent.
Cationic dyes, reactive dyes and sulfur dyes saw good demand from export channel.
