Cotton USA releases US cotton supply & offtake.
Highlights:
• 2008-09 World mill use estimated at 122.3 million bales, down 1.4 million bales from September.
• 2008-09 World production estimated at 113.8 million bales, up 1.6 million bales from September.
• 2008-09 U.S. exports estimated at 13.0 million bales, down 1.5 million bales from September.
• 2008-09 U.S. production at 13.7 million bales, down 140,000 bales from September and down 5.5 million bales from the 2007-08 crop.
• 2008-09 China mill use estimated at 52.8 million bales, down 250,000 bales from September.
