Taekwang PTA plant to go for week long overhaul

Taekwang Industrial Co Ltd one of leading Korean textile industries, has decided to shut down the PTA plant operating at Ulsan, from October 6, for usual maintainance.
The plant having a production capacity of around one million ton per year will restart on October 23.
Sources from the company confirmed Fibre2fashion that this one week overhaul is not going to affect their customers.
Since its inception in 1995, Taekwang has successfully operated large-scale petrochemical plants producing PTA, propylene among others, which was considered to be an unprecedented achievement in Korea.
