Early winter perks up sale of winter fabric

Winter has already arrived in China this year, unexpectedly early. Infact, locals have started experiencing the blast of snow, ice and frost.
Considering this, the sale of middle and lower count yarns as well as thick grey cloth fabrics, which suit the chilly season, improved noticeable. However, under the pressure of declined cotton price, market prices of yarns and fabrics have dropped time and again.
Some industry insiders say, the main reason for the declined market is lack of consumer confidence, market sales will not turn better, even if prices continue to fall.
Besides cotton, prices of polyester staple fiber and viscose staple fiber have also extended their downward trends, which bring further pressures on cotton.
Survey results showed that the proportion of imported cotton of textile enterprises reduced from 22.59 percent by the end of September to 18.63 percent by the end of October
The proportion of Xinjiang cotton consumption of among surveyed textile enterprises decreased from 42.44 percent by the end of September to 39.55 percent by the end of October.
