Available statistics show that export to England gained momentum in the month of October with growth rate of 10.7 percent as compared to previous quarter despite global economic crunch.
In comparison to similar period last year, export of products like footwear surged by 29.7 percent. Textile and garments are also one of the products experiencing strong export growth rate to this market.
In the month of September 2008, export value of Vietnam's textile and garment product reached more than US $32 million, showcasing a rise of 8.31 percent over the corresponding period 2007.
In total, during the period from January to September of the ongoing year, export value of textile and garment reached $234.67 million, accounting for 17.36 percent of the total export value to EU market.
