Leading footwear fair to feature new space dedicated to sports

The leading footwear fair in Latin America will also become the leading fair in sports footwear and goods. The 36th Couromoda - International Shoes, Sportsgoods and Leathergoods Fair, to be held in São Paulo, from January 12th to 15th will have the biggest participation of sportsgoods exhibitors in history.
In addition to the major brands that participate traditionally in the fair, the 2009 edition will feature a new space called “The World of Sports”. On a 744 square meter exhibition area (located at Avenue 6 – aisle M) 26 sportsgoods companies will display their collections, featuring 80 brands and a range of some 3 thousand items. Under a sole venue, the retailer will have an enormous offer of products ranging from a football soccer ball to official team shirts, products for supporters, gears, gym, box, judo, karate items, among others.
This will be the largest participation of sports brands in a Brazilian footwear fair. Says Jeferson Santos, director general of Couromoda. “Adding together the space of The World of Sports and areas occupied individually by other sports brands, Couromoda 2009 will feature 11,000 square meters of exhibition for sportsgoods."
