USTER TESTER 5-S800 at ITMA Asia 2005
Textile electronics leather Uster Technologies AG launches new innovation brilliant testing-superior analysis at ITMA ASIA 2005.
For years the USTER TESTER has been a synonym for quality management of staple yarns, rovings and slivers. The new USTER TESTER 5-S800 measures the most important quality parameters such as evenness and yarn imperfections with high precision at an unbelievable testing speed of 800 m/min.
Doubling the test speed to 800 m/min allows nearly doubling the sample throughput. The customer can utilize this additional test capacity either to test all spinning positions in a shorter period of time or test the same amount of samples with a longer test length to have statistically more significant results. Even at this tremendous speed, the S800 enables reproducible measurements at all time.
FM Sensor – classification of foreign fibers Foreign fibers are now one of the major problems in spinning mills. Here the USTER TESTER 5-S800 writes a new chapter in measuring technology. The USTER TESTER 5-S800 detects and ITMA ASIA, October 2005 classifies foreign fibers in the same operation as all the other quality parameters.
Unique sensor technology – gives the advantages Factors such as hairiness, diameter variation, shape and density, as well as soiling due to trash and dust influence the quality of yarns in woven and knitted fabrics. In most cases, one measurement technology alone is not sufficient to judge yarn quality.
Only the combination of various sensor technologies permits an effective and comprehensive quality description. The USTER TESTER 5-S800 with capacitive and optical sensors measures all the necessary criteria and offers an optimal analysis of yarn quality and the spinning process. Yarn manufacturers and yarn finishers profit from the unique USTER TESTER measurements, which are valid worldwide and provide an international qualification.
