JKKVIB to create employment for budding entrepreneurs

Under the Prime Ministers Employment Guarantee Programme (PMEGP) introduced by The Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (JKKVIB), employment opportunities for over 1800 people will be created during the ongoing fiscal.

JKKVIB introduced this scheme, with improved subsidy and cost limits, to encourage budding entrepreneurs, to establish and strengthen village based industrial units.

According to the sources from JKKVIB, the PMEGP is one of the best Programme so far announced by the Government on August 15, this year.

In association with Prime Ministers Rozgar Yojna (PMRY) with Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP), the Board aims to establish around 1850 units during present fiscal year.

The JKKVIB source further informed trainings will be provided to the beneficiaries along with marketing facilities for the products locally and nationally.

The traditional industries will also be given proper attention by formation of different clusters under Scheme of Fund for Regeneration of Traditional Industries (SFURTI).
