The makeover of your house gets easier with Sewa Trade Facilitation Centre all set to organize a 4 – day exhibition-cum-sale, exclusively on home furnishing items, at the Karnavati Club from 5th - 8th December.

Available in myriad styles, textures and designs – the splendid range of home furnishing products comprises of bed covers, bed sheets, cushion covers and quilts. The collection also includes curtains specially designed for kids.

According to Ms. Mona Dave, CEO, STFC, “We continuously work towards improving the quality of life and creating livelihood opportunities for the rural artisans. The major objective of this exhibition- cum – sale is to showcase the wide product range in different categories. All the products are hand embroidered and 65% of the income goes back to the artisans”.

The artisans' journey to livelihood began with working as a migrate worker to becoming a stakeholder of STFC and owner of Hansiba. STFC is a platform to showcase their traditional art in the form of unique hand-worked products. 65% of the income generated from the sale of products goes directly to them ensuring not only a bright future for them but for their children as well.

According to Ms. Raniben Lalabhai, Artisan “We had the traditional embroidery skills but STFC showcased our products in the market. Today we own Hansiba and are an integral part of STFC.”

The exhibition offers splendid range of home furnishing items displayed under a single roof at incredible prices. There is 10% discount on the rich variety of cotton filled quilts which are washable, 35% discount on the beautiful bed sheets and bed covers with patch work, applique ,kutch and kalamkari embroideries and with every two cushion covers one is free, while there is a unbelievable surprise on apparels.

It provides design, production and marketing facilities for apparel, accessories and soft furnishings, with embroideries provided by more than 15,000 rural craftswomen.
