Technical Textiles has tremendous growth scope in India - SRF

Divulging the major future plans of SRF, the VP stated, “SRF is today clearly focussed on consolidating the existing business of both Tyre cord and belting fabric through both organic and inorganic routes. We have acquired belting fabric capacity in S. Africa and Tyre cord fabric facility in Thailand.
Besides, we are in the process of commissioning polyester yarn for tyre cord application and polyester industrial yarn for our existing belting and coated fabric business. This will enable SRF to become the first company in India to have set up a HMLS polyester yarn capacity for tyre cord application.
“SRF is also planning to explore opportunities in growing single cord business for industrial and tyre cord applications. Plans are on the anvil to explore growth opportunities in coated fabrics business and other non-auto applications.”
