Textile & garment industry sketches growth plan

According to official source of Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), the textile and garment industry has recently set its target to satisfy the auxiliary demand of industry's production, domestic consumption and exports.
For that purpose, the Government has sketched a growth plan for Industrial Parks and Economic Development Zones in North Vietnam by 2015.
For that matter, the textile and garment industry will put in all efforts to build industrial groups and zones in Northern provinces of Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc or Ha Tay, rebuilding their knitting factories; (knitting fabric and high quality fabric) in Hai Phong city and sewing, knitting and dying factories in Bac Ninh province with capacity of 1,500 tons per year.
In addition, the industry also plans to pour investment into two manufacturing factories in Hai Phong and Hung Yen and other facilitates with production scale of 3-4 million products per year.
