'Technical Textiles' - Theme of 64th TAI conference on Dec 20

The Textile Association (India) is organizing its 64th All India Textile Conference on December 20 and 21, 2008 at the Rajeev Gandhi Auditorium, in Bhilwara (Rajasthan).
One of the main themes of the conference is technical textiles, which has received attention from the government in the recent past. The technical textiles sector is expected to grow exponentially in the next few years, but the necessary skills and trained manpower are sadly lacking.
There is also no firm market analysis on the actual potential of the various products, subject to which there could be more interest generated in the burgeoning sector from various segments of the textile industry.
The conference will also provide a platform to discuss and debate the desired path of growth for the technical textiles.
