Market prices for Ethylene spike up

Crude prices showed a down trend in past few months, and its effects on ethylene prices were quite severe, creating havoc on producers, who expanded their capacities when demand was on the higher side.
However, things have taken a positive turn and on December 24, ethylene price graph for most importing regions like Asia, Far East and the US showed a significant growth and for the European market a marginal hike can be observed in comparison to prior week.
Ethylene prices in Asia region:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $566-576 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $581-591 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Far East region:
Ethylene, FOB South Korea, at US $535 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $535 per metric ton.
Ethylene prices in Europe:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 440.50-445.50 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $500.50-510.50 per metric ton.
Price in the United States:
Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 20.255-20.755 per pound.
