Coat & Cloak manufacturer outshines in midst of crisis

Recently some small and medium-sized all weather coat & cloak factories, including those in the Mainland China, have closed one after another, due to poor economic situation, but it has also meant improved orders for a few and large all weather coat & cloak manufacturing factories with sound financial condition.

Dashin Industrial, a leading all weather coat & cloak manufacturer in Taiwan has recently announced that they have orders in hand for all their factories located in Vietnam, the Mainland China and Myanmar for the first quarter of 2009 and even might be forced to out source manufacturing if they receive more orders.

According to the company, orders for the first quarter of next year amount to about NT Yuan 640 million, slightly lower than those received in the first quarter of the current year. The factory located in Putian, Fujian, produces mainly for exports to the United States, Japan and Europe.

Exports to the United States account for 5 percent of its total exports. Buyers from the United States have increased orders to this factory in order to stabilize their supply lines after many enterprises involved in the manufacturing of coats and cloaks shut their operations due to a slowdown in orders.

Its new plant in Vietnam has also on hand, orders to run the factory fully in the first quarter of 2009 and might even need to out source if orders keep on trickling in. Its factory in Myanmar currently has 24 production lines and 1077 employees. The factory focuses on exports to Europe and Japan, mainly outdoor recreational wears and all weather coat & cloak.

Many of its buyers from Germany and Japan have put up orders in advance, so the company has been forced to increase its staff and make its employees work overtime to cope with the increasing orders.
