In an effort to fortify the bilateral trade between the two countries, recently Evo Morales President of Bolivia announced that the country would export duty free textiles to Venezuela before January 15.
After the United States barred the Andean Trade Promotion and Drug Eradication Act (ATPDE), in October, Venezuela granted a zero-duty treatment to Bolivia.
In the month of October last year, an accord was inked between the Presidents of Bolivia and Venezuela, according to which some US $200 million worth of textiles were to be exported to Venezuela. Recent announcement came in effect to this.
