Teijin Fibers Limited, the manufactures and sells polyester raw materials, polymers, fibers and textiles, recently announced that it has expanded production capacity of BEWELL, an ultra-fine durable antistatic polyester fiber at its Matsuyama facility located in Ehime prefecture.

The Company increased the production capacity from 20 ton per month to 90 ton per month, in the month of November last year.

Teijin aims to produce BEWELL from chemically recycled yarn in the future, as part of Teijin's initiative to switch all domestically produced polyester yarn to chemically recycled yarn.

BEWELL was developed by Teijin Fibers in 2006 and has been commercially produced since 2007. With its long-lasting antistatic property and ultra-fineness, BEWELL is used for sportswear, linings, undergarments, uniforms and other clothing items.

The Company plans to further increase the capacity of BEWELL to 200 ton per month within the next few years by expanding product application as well as marketing it globally.
