Curtains to rise on Gold Coast Fashion Week from May 13

After months of discussions with industry representatives from across the coast, finally Gold Coast Fashion Week 2009 dates have now been confirmed. The Gold Coast Fashion Week 2009 will be held in May 13-17. The dates are set to coincide with Australian Fashion Festival in Sydney, which is just two weeks prior.

Gold Coast Fashion Week 2009 will be themed to suit the Gold Coast lifestyle. With the Gold Coast being one of Australia's most popular holiday destinations, the theme for the week will be Swimwear, Summer-Wear and Holiday-Wear.

Gold Coast Fashion Week will provide a great platform for local and international designers to showcase their products. Buyers from large fashion chains have suggested that they would like to come to the Gold Coast as a 'working-holiday' after the Australian Fashion Festival in Sydney.

Exciting new venues, shows and forums, which will be open to the public, are scheduled to be released shortly. Finally the Gold Coast has a fashion week that we can be proud of.
