Import prices of blended yarns from Feb 9-14

During the week from 9th to 14th Feb 2009, the price of cotton 97% and elastane 3% blended yarn, imported from Taiwan stood at US$2.38 per yard and that of shipped from China $2.97 per yard (CIF).
In the case of cotton 95% and spandex 5% blended yarn, the import price from Korea stood at $2.15 per metre while it was $2.98 per yard (CFR) from China.
100% cotton yarn shipped from China was quoted at $1.75 per yard and for that from Thailand $2.38 per metre (CFR). The price of 100% nylon taffeta yarn imported from Thailand stood at $0.64 per yard and $0.85 per yard from Taiwan.
