On the 26th, Asian Benzene market looked firm, and in early morning trades, May deliveries were quoted at US $500 per ton (FOB Korea), which in late afternoon trades increased to $520 per ton (FOB Korea).
China's domestic refineries are still limiting petrochemical production and sales for contracts signed in the previous months. The spot market pure benzene prices have been impacted by price increases implemented by petrochemical enterprises.
In East China, mainstream price in the market, ranged between 3700-3800 Yuan per ton. In North China, supply was tight; price from Qiwangda was quoted at 3800 Yuan per ton, while market price ranged between 3700-3800 Yuan per ton.
