With slightly more than one year remaining before it opens its doors to the world, the IDEA10 International Engineered Fabrics Conference & Expo is more than 60% sold out and the remaining available booth space continues to fill rapidly.

According to INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, organizer of the triennial event, many of the past IDEA exhibitors have already reserved their booth space for the 2010 event, which is scheduled for April 27-29, 2010 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida.

“Nonwovens companies from around the world are realizing that even in these challenging economic times they still need to invest in their businesses,” says Rory Holmes, President of INDA. “IDEA has a global reputation for bringing together buyers and sellers from all links of the nonwovens value chain in an environment conducive to doing business in one of the world's most interesting cities.”

At the last IDEA show in April 2007, also held in Miami Beach, more than 380 companies from around the world exhibited during the three days of the expo. An estimated 40% of those exhibiting companies came from outside of the United States to be a part of the most important nonwovens event of that year and INDA anticipates a similar turnout at IDEA10.

INDA is also expecting close to 6,000 attendees to visit Miami Beach for the three-day event, once again making it the largest and most important engineered fabrics and nonwovens industry event of the year.

“Both our returning exhibitors and new companies are telling us that they need to be at IDEA10 to cost-effectively reach their existing and potential customers from North America, South America, Asia and Europe,” points out Marilyn Bellinger, Associate Director of Sales for INDA. “We work very hard to provide them with the environment to network with customers from around the world, to best exhibit their new products, and to conduct business.”

While stressing that there is still time to reserve their space at IDEA10, Bellinger urges nonwovens suppliers, converters and other fabric producers to act quickly. “There is some prime exhibit space still available, but it is going fast and it will be reserved soon,” Bellinger adds.
