The textile arm of the Aditya Birla group, which had pioneered the advent of linen in India, has opened a new outlet; 'Linen Club The Ramp' in New Delhi. Linen was introduced in India by one of the members of the Birla family in 1949, on the request of the Indian army.
The store, the 26th in its linen fabrics range was inaugurated by its brand ambassador and well know fashion designer Rohit Bal, who himself is a linen fabric enthusiast. Commenting on the fabric, Bal said, linen is one of the easiest of all fabrics for a fashion designer.
The 'Linen Club The Ramp' has on offer a complete range of linen fabric, right from pure linen to linen blends of cotton, silk, wool, bamboo, lyocell, yarn dyed wovens, printed and embroidered linen. It is also one of the fabrics that goes well with the humid Indian climate.
