Recently the Swine flu has slowly but surely started spreading its tentacles across the globe due to which demand for facemasks and protective medical textiles is expected to increase drastically.

Some companies in medical textiles have reported of receiving extra orders, in addition to their regular orders. But at the same time there are some companies who are skeptical and recommend that orders should pour in before making any new production plans.
As per a recent report published by Fibre2fashion, medical textiles market which stood at US $7.33 billion in 2007 is expected to grow to $8.32 billion in 2010 and touch $9.05 billon by 2012.
