Govt allocates funds to set up National Textile University

Government will provide land for the new campus of National Textile University (NTU) as well as two new textile colleges would be constructed in Chunian and Karachi, informed Federal Minister of Textile Industry, Rana Mohammad Farooq Saeed Khan.
While addressing the NTU faculty, Khan said that to improve the infrastructure facilities in NTU the ministry of textile industry and HEC will provide Rs. 450 million while Rs. 1350 million will be allocated by the government of Pakistan.
Furthermore, he said that the university will be equipped with around 200 computers and a state of the art garment lab will be established as well. This lab would be inaugurated during the first week of July, he said.
