Jilin Chemical Fiber temporarily suspended operations of one of its production lines as over 400 employees of the company have fallen sick, due to inhaling of a poisonous gas, the source, which has not been identified till now.

Residents in and around the petrochemical plant had been complaining of headache, nausea, vomiting and general fatigue, since late April and thousands of people have been affected in varying degrees due to the same.

It is learned that Cornell Chemical Company is a neighboring company to Jilin Chemical Fiber, and it produces aniline and lets out gases in production process. But the authorities have not clearly unidentified it is the "source of toxic gas"
