The Georgia Department of Labor's Rome Career Center will help Bentley Dye fill about 300 job openings for production workers in Gordon County. The company plans to expand its operation in Calhoun within six to nine months.

The recruitments will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, June 9-10, in the auditorium on the Gordon County campus of the Coosa Valley Technical College, located at 1151 Highway 53 Spur in Calhoun. On both days, the recruitments will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The company will be hiring for such production jobs as extrusion, twister, and winder operators, along with creelers, yarn handlers, and extrusion, twist, and heat set supervisors.

Applications will be accepted at the recruitments, but interviews will be scheduled by the company at a later date.

The company will conduct a drug screening test, criminal background and reference check prior to any offer of employment, according to Dianne McEntyre, Human Resources Manager of Bentley, Inc.

Due to federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. Applicants who hold a Work Ready certification from the state are preferred.
