Anti-dumping investigation by India into import of circular looms

The Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry has initiated an anti-dumping investigation into imports of circular looms originally produced in China, on the complaint from a textile manufacturer, Lohia Starlinger Ltd.

The power loom in question has more than six shuttles for weaving high-density polyethylene fabrics, with width of more than 30 inches. Customs codes of the involved products in the case are 84462100, 84462190 and 84462900.

The antidumping investigation period of the case is from April 1 to Dec 31, 2009 and the damage survey period includes the previous fiscal years; 2005/06, 2006/07 and the 2007/08 fiscal year, as well as the anti-dumping investigation period.
