Mr Hla Myo, Director, Keinnayi Weaving Factory, who had specially flown in from Myanmar for this show, having read about it on the website, noted: “We came looking for cotton yarn and were able to identify some good products.” The company manufactures sarong and men's wear.
The participants too, who numbered around 72, expressed satisfaction at the quality of visitors.
Mr Sanjeev Rathod, managing director, Napoleon Mills, Mumbai, said: “The show has exceeded our expectations.We got potential buyers visiting our stall, from all the segments, be it a buying house or an agent, a garment exporter or domestic brand, and even international brands.”
Mr Dhaval Desai, managing director, Desai Polycot Pvt Ltd., Ichalkaranji, noted, “We met with exactly the right kind of people we were looking for.”
The organizational aspects of the event too were well appreciated by the participants.Mr Michael Stark, vice president sales, Hof Textiles Inc., USA, said that he had been participating in shows in India earlier. “But this is the first time that we occupied our stall in perfect condition on the morning of the preparation day itself.”
It was also for the first time that the show was held at the Bangalore Palace. “The location is central in the heart of the city, with easy access to domestic as well as the exporting textile and apparel trade and manufacturing community.”
