IRS & UCLan tie-up for UG degree in Retail Management with Marketing

Indian Retail School (IRS), the best rated retail management institute is the first academic institute catering to the growing fashion and retail sectors in India with UK. The institute has joined hands with UK's UCLan University for a B.A. Hons in Retail Management with Marketing Program.
The degree is for 3 years where in students will be studying first 2 years at IRS, Delhi and third year in UCLan, Preston, UK. Mr. Dharma Kovvuri, Dean, Lancashire University said “The Prime reason of choosing IRS for the tie-up was that it is one of the only premium supplier for Retail Education and focus only on Retail Education”.
The tie-up between UCLan University and IRS will help students in increasing their knowledge base. Students will be exposed to the Indian context of Retail along with International exposure as well as western brands and a different culture and international academic standards. IRS students will also get a 2 years work permit after successful completion of their programme in UK.
The training programme would be a mix of lectures, case study, group work, projects, presentations, dissertation and live project at industry. Students will be studying 10-12 hours a week at campus for which 2 hour prior self study is required for each session.
In UK, Retail is still in its naive stages. As the economy has developed and leading to increase in jobs UCLan University has included Retail as a special programme. Retail Marketing Degree will focus on the skills of managing people and would create Work Ready Managers. In addition, students who would like to pursue their Post Graduation in UK after BA (Hons.) Degree, will be offered concession.
UCLan will support its students with campus interviews and also will have a support system which helps students to get a part-time job while studying final year at UK. They can get a job of 16 hours every week during their study visa.
