Yarn & fabric production register growth in May

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's yarn production marked 2.04 million tons in May, representing an increase of 11.4 percent year-on-year and 4.79 percent from the previous month.
From January to May 2009, China's cumulative output of yarn reached 8.7 million tons, showing an increase of 9 percent year-on-year.
Fabric production realized 4.76 billion meters in May 2009, marking an increase of 1.6 percent from the same period last year and 5.57 percent from the previous month.
From January to May in 2009, China's cumulative production of fabrics reached 20.66 billion meters, a decrease of 0.9 percent year-on-year.
China's total fabric production completed 52.77 billion meters in 2008, representing an increase of 5.3 percent year-on-year.
