According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China's petrochemical output registered 2.39 million tons in May 2009, an increase of 18 percent year-on-year, and 7.71 percent from the previous month.
From January to May in 2009, China's chemical total petrochemical production reached 10.41 million tons, an increase of 7.8 percent year-on-year. It had touched 24.04 million tons in 2008, representing a year-on-year increase of 2.3 percent.
