Demand for polyester/nylon composite filament remains flat

In the just concluded week (June 15-21), downstream demand for polyester/ nylon composite filament remained flat, overall market showed no improvement and prices were still in consolidation.
Market dynamics indicated that offers of polyester/ nylon composite filament in Shengze market maintained the same level of the previous weekend, such as DTY150D/36F × 16, DTY160D/72F × 16 were still at 16600-16800 Yuan per ton, the same level of the previous weekend.
Market prices of DTY90D/75F × 16 and DTY75D/36F × 16 stabilized at 22,100 Yuan per ton and 25,000 Yuan per ton. Large parts of volumes were attributed to sales of DTY90D/72F × 16 as it is mainly used in production of polyester/nylon/cotton fabrics.
While prices of polyester/nylon composite filament remain stable, raw material prices of nylon and polyester are rising, which will support and push polyester/ nylon composite filament market.
Currently purchasing power in polyester/ nylon composite filament market is still weak and although demand from lower reaches provides signs of recovery, at present, downstream textile enterprises are not daring to invest on a large scale.
