The Hong Kong Fashion Designers Pavilion at Taipei IN Style Show. The latest collections of six young Hong Kong fashion designers – Mandy Cheng, Chow Tan Tan, Spy Henry Lau, Hin Lee, DoDo Leung and Harrison Wong – will be on display at a fashion show, 29 August, in Taipei, Taiwan. Creations by designers for the brand fait a main will also be included. The show is part of the Hong Kong Fashion Designers Pavilion at the fourth Taipei IN Style (TIS) show, 28-30 August.

The Hong Kong Fashion Designer Pavilion, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council(HKTDC), helps promote the creativity of Hong Kong fashion designers in the Taiwan market. Profiles of the seven designers follow:
Chow Tan Tan
Chow Tan Tan launched his label, CHOW TAN TAN, in 2006. His designs are notable for their high quality, good cutting and sophisticated trimming. From 2001 until 2004, he was chief designer for Mastina and, in 2005, he was design director for Ditte, Shenzhen. Mr Chow was champion of the Zhonghua Cup of Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival in 2001. He won the Osaka 21st Century Association Award at the Grand Prix Contest in Japan in 1996, and was one of the finalists of the 1997 Hong Kong Young Fashion Designer's Contest, organised by the HKTDC.

DoDo Leung
DoDo Leung debuted Mondovi, her private label, in 2007,featuring high-end evening wear and couture lingerie collections. In early 2009, Mondovi successfully introduced the Secret Garden lingerie couture Fall & Winter Collections at the World Boutique, Hong Kong, and the Fashion Exposed preview in Sydney. A Hong Kong designer with nearly 20 years' experience, Ms Leung specialises in ladies' high fashion and evening wear, with an emphasis on cutting and embroidery design. She is planning to develop a retail business for her couture lingerie collections.

Fait a main
Since launching in 2001, fait a main has become synonymous with high-quality ready-to-wear for women. The label carries a full range of women's fashion, with two major collections a year – spring/summer and fall/winter. The label, which got its start with Hong Kong retailers Lane Crawford and Joyce, is now available in Australia, the Chinese mainland, France, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, the Philippines, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. In 2006, fait a main opened a concept store in Hong Kong's Causeway Bay.

Harrison Wong
Harrison Wong, who burst into the public eye winning the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers' Contest in 1996, began his career with local fashion doyen Walter Ma, working six years as a designer for Ma's label. In 2002, Mr Harrison debuted his first spring/summer collection, in a Düsseldorf show sponsored by Silhouette, after which he launched his seasonal collections in New York. His first menswear collection was shown at Milan fashion week in June 2004, and his first accessory line, eyewear, appeared in September 2005. Since then, he has focused on developing his Harrison Wong enterprise and working as consultant for Chinese fashion chains.
