Desmond Yang, Magician of Singapore's Fashion
Named as the “Magician of Fashion” by Singapore people, Desmond Yang established ABYZZ in 2003. ABYZZ, a name originated from the word “Abyss”, signifies the mysteriousness of ocean. It's a brand that combines east and west, creating trendy, fit, elegant and multi-functional designs with exquisite tailoring arts and high tech materials. A simple outfit that can be worn as formal evening dress, Desmond Yang's designs reflect the flexibility, practicality and fashion sense of a modern urban woman.
Aguri Sagimori, Award-winning Uprising Designer in Japan
Uprising designer Aguri Sagimori from Japan graduated from Vantan Design Institute in 2007. Within the same year, she won the Prize for Excellence of 2007 NEW DESIGNER FASHION GRAND PRIX and the Grand Prix of the NAGOYA FASHION CONTEST 2007, becoming one of the most watched for young designers in Japan's fashion world. Aguri's first collection was based on the Hitchcock movie “The Bird”, utilizing new design concepts and laser cutting to mix the patterns of birds, flowers and pleated patterns in black and red into trendy products such as bodysuits, lingerie, denim night gowns, suits and more. Her works are now sold in high-end department stores in Japan.
