Raymond re-appoints Shri Gautam Hari Singhania as CMD

Raymond Ltd has informed about the following:
1. The present term of office of Shri. Gautam Hari Singhania as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company expires on June 30, 2009. The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on June 20, 2009 re-appointed Shri. Gautam Hari Singhania as Chairman and Managing Director of the Company for a further period of five years with effect from July 01, 2009.
2. Shri. Desh Deepak Khetrapal, Chief Operating Officer of the Company was appointed as Additional Director on the Board of the Company in terms of Article 161 of the Company's Articles of Association and Section 260 of the Companies Act, 1956 with effect from June 20, 2009.
3. Further, Shri. Desh Deepak Khetrapal was appointed as Wholetime Director of the Company with effect from June 20, 2009.
With a capacity of 35 million meters in wool & wool-blended fabrics, Raymond commands over 60% market share in worsted suiting in India and ranks amongst the first three fully integrated manufacturers of worsted suiting in the world.
