Petkim inks cooperation with Akkok

Turkish petrochemical major, Petkim informed that, it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Akkok, to evaluate opportunities in production of acrylontrile.
It was also look at possibilities of producing further additives from acrylontrile. Akkok, an Istanbul company has interests in Chemicals, textiles and energy.
Acrylontrile is used as a raw material in production of synthetic rubber and various plastics materials. The state oil company of Azerbaijan, SORCAR holds a 51 percent stake in Petkim.
