The Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), played host to a textile delegation from Thailand which visited the country from July 18-21.

METI helped the mission to visit different markets and stores which sell textile and apparels in a bid to understand the requirements of the local markets.

Thailand has devised a project which will concentrate on developing products primarily for the Japanese markets, to get a firmer foothold in those markets.

Japan had formally agreed to help out countries like Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia to develop their textile sector as per the EPA agreement.
