PolyOne to distribute DuPont Engineering Polymers in NA

PolyOne Corporation, a premier provider of specialized polymer materials, services and solutions, announced that PolyOne Distribution has been named the primary distributor of thermoplastic products for DuPont Engineering Polymers in North America. Ashland Distribution will no longer supply DuPont Engineering Polymers thermoplastic products in North America following a 90-day transition period.
“We appreciate DuPont's confidence in selecting us as their key distribution partner in North America,” said Michael L. Rademacher, PolyOne senior vice president and general manager, Distribution. “PolyOne's extensive distribution network and infrastructure are ideally suited to support the broad range of DuPont Engineering Polymers' products by providing customers with uninterrupted supply and premium service.”
James R. Hay, DuPont Engineering Polymers sales director, Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, “Working with PolyOne as our primary distributor of thermoplastic resins in North America will help ensure that customers receive cost-effective and efficient access to our products and technical expertise. PolyOne's focus on development and customer service helps extend our core strength, which is to provide design, process and material development support from concept through commercial adoption using high-performance thermoplastics to deliver the lowest total system cost.”
DuPont Engineering Polymers' products to be distributed through PolyOne include: Crastin PBT polyester resin, Delrin acetal resin, Thermx PCT high performance polyester, Zenite liquid crystal polymer, Hytrel TPC-ET thermoplastic polyester elastomer, Zytel HTN high performance polyamide, Minlon mineral reinforced nylon resin, Zytel nylon resin and Rynite PET polyester resin. DuPont will maintain additional regional distribution in Canada and Mexico.
